About my practice

As a play therapist, my focus is on creating a safe and supportive environment where children can explore their emotions through play. I work with individuals from the age of 4 and above, including adults, utilizing various therapeutic techniques to understand their unique needs and challenges.

Play is the natural language of children, and it serves as a powerful tool to facilitate communication and foster healing. Through play, children can process their experiences, build resilience, and develop coping skills. My commitment to staying informed about the latest research and methodologies in play therapy helps me continuously refine my approach to best meet the evolving needs of the clients and families I serve. My empathy, creativity, and expertise enable me to empower each child to navigate the complexities of their world and build a foundation for emotional well-being

Assessment

The assessment starts the healing process. This is a one and a half hour assessment for the Play Therapy process.

Session duration: 1.5 hrs Cost: R750

For children, assessment is the first step of our journey. The initial 1.5 hours are dedicated exclusively to the parents. This is followed by 3 sessions with your child in which I determine what the main area of focus will be. After these sessions, we have a parent feedback session. The objective is to identify any unmet needs and develop a treatment plan to help my client address these needs effectively.

Unmet needs may encompass various aspects, such as trauma, loss, grief, adjustment to divorce, adaptation to a new sibling, issues related to discipline, family bonding challenges, struggles with social adaptation, identification of anxiety, ADHD, ADD, selective autism, and numerous other potential factors.

An hourly rate of R550 applies to all sessions.
